Thank you for agreeing to a branded partnership on the Meta platform! We are thrilled that you've agreed to allow us to amplify your content featuring Colorisse products in paid advertising.
Building a community online is truly about creating a virtual relationship with the person reading or watching on the other side of the screen. We will always respect the relationship you create with your audience and never ask you to change how you create content.
The tips we're sharing below are coming from our team's 30+ years working as influencers. Yikes - we just aged ourselves! They're also coming from our CMO's time spent managing ads for several brands where she helped affiliates and influencers earn more commission with paid ads.
BRANDED PARTNERSHIP TIPS
1. Accept the Branded Partnerships invite sent via Instagram DM. If you didn't get that, please just message us and we can send you a separate link. When you create content, tag Colorisse (invite collaborator) which allows us to use your content in ads.
2. Similarly, request access to the Branded Content tool on Facebook. When you share Facebook posts and tag Colorisse (invite collaborator), we can use content posted on Facebook in ads, too.
3. Share on both platforms. Sometimes content performs better on Facebook versus Instagram so we suggest sharing to both. The Meta Business Suite makes it easy to share content from Instagram to Facebook and vice versa.
4. Verify collaborator tags are still in tact for auto-sharing to the other platform. If you share automatically from Instagram, verify that the collaborator tag is showing on Facebook so the Facebook content can be shared too.
BEST PRACTICES
1. Always use your affiliate link! Make sure you log into the affiliate portal to get your affiliate link for any content you create or share.
2. It's best for us to advertise your original post on Instagram or Facebook. The original post ID contains all the organic social proof AND any comments generated from ads. We will also create ad posts (see #4) for different reasons. However, whenever we can create MORE social proof on your original post ID it's better for your page.
3. It's a good practice to add the affiliate link to the post description. We know how convenient using a hashtag like #linkinbio is and adding the link in the post description may not be ideal. If we ever see a link missing, and think it's a good piece of original content (post ID) to use for an ad, we'll message you. No pressure if you don't want to add it because...
4. We may choose to create an ad post instead of using your original post. We'll do this when we see other brands being featured in the content alongside Colorisse products. Whenever we do this, we will ALWAYS use your affiliate link in ad posts that use your content.
5. Using a direct link to whatever product you're promoting always converts at a higher rate. The less clicks someone has to take the higher changes of them buying. You can link directly to a specific product listing (deep link) and add your affiliate ID at the end by using the Link Generator in the affiliate portal. Link trees are helpful but don't convert as well in ads.
6. Showcase the product and YOU! People love to see how you're using the product even if it's a quick glimpse of you pouring ink into the printer or using the design you made in your everyday life.
7. We can't run ads to content with certain music. If you're using a creator account, Instagram's licensed music library is only available for personal and non-commercial use which means they can't be used in ads. You can always use any sound in Meta's sound collection OR your own audio overlay where you have a copyright license and permission to use.
8. Stickers are similar to sounds. Those little boogers have made it so we can't use an original post (#2 above) so steer clear from stickers as well.
9. The affiliate program is a 30-day cookie that has a last-click attribution setting. Anytime you can create content that compels people to buy immediately, you'll always be sure to get the sale (rather than them clicking on someone else's affiliate link after seeing yours).
10. Colorisse pays for all ads promoting your affiliate link and content. We cannot claim any guarantees on visibility or conversions but we do promise to do our very best.
